The Phantom Ranger and the Skateboard Gang—Livia And James Reasoner
Codi Jackson has started a new school—again. Will she ever be able to settle down in one place and make friends? It seems unlikely, especially now that she has the ghost of her great-great-great grandfather appearing at the most inconvenient times! How can she explain him to her history project partner—and her own father? But Codi is determined to come to her dad’s rescue when he corrals a gang of young thieves on skateboards at a nearby mall—and they get some very unlikely help!

Waiting For a Comet (Jo Harper Book 1)—Richard Prosch
Racing a Dog Star (Jo Harper Book 2)—Richard Prosch

Twelve-year-old Jo Harper is fascinated by what people are saying about the return of Halley’s Comet. The year is 1910, and her little Wyoming town is full of speculation. In the first two stories of this series, Jo and her best friend, Frog, unravel some puzzling mysteries that even the adults can’t solve. Join Jo and Frog as they help the new constable, Abby Drake, take on taming what’s left of the Wild West in Willowby, Wyoming!

The Apache and the Pale Face Soldiers (The Saga of Indian Em’ly Book 1)-Sara Barnard
On the Colorado Trail (The Saga of Indian Em’ly Book 2)-Sara Barnard

Wind That Knocks Down Lodges and his little sister, Cactus Flower, must learn to survive among the Pale Faces who have taken them prisoner after their parents are killed. But how can a twelve-year-old boy protect himself and his sister from the Pale Face army men who are taking them away from their familiar surroundings into the unknown? Come along with Knocks Down and Cactus on their incredible journey that begins in the first two segments of the Indian Em’ly Saga, included in this collection.

THE COWBOY WAY is a set of five wonderful stories for young boys of all ages—from 9 to 99! If you’re looking for some great western reads for yourself or a young reader you know, this is the collection for you—and at only .99, you can’t beat the value! Renowned western author Frank Roderus leads the collection off with his coming-of-age story, DUSTER, about a 15-year-old boy who joins a cattle drive in post Civil War days. Jim Griffin, known for his Texas Ranger tales, adds to the anthology with book one of his Lone Star Ranger series, A RANGER TO RIDE WITH. Cheryl Pierson’s complete Texas Legacy Trilogy rounds out this fantastic set of western tales. RED EAGLE’S WAR, RED EAGLE’S REVENGE, and TEXAS FOREVER tell the story of 10-year-old Will Green, saved from the Apache by Jacobi Kane—a man with a secret of his own. This anthology is full of action-packed stories that you will remember long after you read the last page! Come on and saddle up—you’ll ride the range with some mighty fine cowboys!

TWO WONDERFUL SINGLE AUTHOR ANTHOLOGIES BY RICHARD PROSCH FOR YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE!
FINDING THE SKY: (Jo Harper Books 1-4)
Twelve-year-old Jo Harper thought 1910 would be another boring year in the Wyoming range town of Willowby, Wyoming. Then tough-talkin' pistol-shootin' Abby Drake came to town and made Jo a deputy law and order woman...

Collecting four exciting Jo Harper novellas, Finding the Sky pits Jo and her friends against cattle rustlers, outlaws, a bank robber and a tinhorn gambler. With explosions of fire, flaming arrows, and a wild ride in a Model-T, Jo's introspective, early 20th Century life will never again be the same.

ON SOLID GROUND: (Jo Harper Books 5-8)
In 1911, when trouble comes to Willowby, Wyoming, thirteen year-old Deputy Constable Jo Harper is usually on top of it. But trouble has a way of following Jo, and strangers aren't always what they seem.

When old friends prove to be enemies, and enemies might be friends, Jo relies on all her wits to seek justice.

And sometimes just to stay alive!

Jo Harper rides the range again with Frog Beemer, Constable Abby Drake, McGee the dog, and a host of no good owlhoots. If you love rollicking old-fashioned adventure, grab this second volume of four novella-length stories.

MORE WESTERN ADVENTURE IN SARA BARNARD’S THE SAGA OF INDIAN EM’LY—FOUR STORIES OF THE WEST FOR KIDS AND ADULTS TO LOVE!
Twelve-year-old Wind That Knocks Down Lodges loves his little sister, Cactus Flower, and the wildness of the desert canyonland the Apache call home. But in one night of misunderstanding and mistakes, Knocks Down and Cactus Flower’s innocent world is shaken as they find themselves locked in the nearby fort with the pale face soldiers and their mother’s lifeless body. With no one to lean on but each other, Knocks Down and Cactus Flower must make their way as children of The People in the pale face world—pale faces who have now become the enemy.

If you are in the mood for a little "odd" western romance, try our boxed set, COWBOYS, CREATURES AND CALICO. Halloween is just around the corner along with some romantic western-y ghost tales to share around a campfire! This boxed set of Cowboys, Creatures, and Calico, Vol. 1 and 2 with 12 novelettes is guaranteed to make you wonder what in the world–or in the “other” world—is going on. But are you sure you really want to know?

And last but not least, a WONDERFUL western boxed set, CODE OF THE WEST, was just released this week from Sundown Press! Are you ready to ride into the old west with six fantastic tales of outlaws, lawmen, Apaches and ex-gunmen? There’s nothing like outwitting a band of Apache warriors, facing down a man with a hard grudge, or standing with a brother you don’t agree with—because he’s your blood—and doing it all from your easy chair! Each and every one of these tales of the west are guaranteed to keep you turning pages. You’ll share these hard-hitting action adventures as surely as if you were standing in the dusty Texas heat or the wilds of Indian Territory alongside the outlaws, marshals, and bounty hunters captured in the pages of CODE OF THE WEST! So, DRAW…if you dare! Authors include: John D. Nesbitt, Kit Prate, Livia J. Washburn, Chuck Tyrell, Jerry Guin, and Cheryl Pierson.

Over the last three years, PRP has grown to include SIX imprints! We are incredibly proud of every single one of our offerings in each of these imprints—and we hope you will enjoy reading some of our work. Our authors are bursting at the seams with stories to tell, in every genre. We hope you’ll find some of the boxed sets included here to your liking and come back tomorrow and the rest of this week for MORE fantastic reading to come your way!

Today, I'm wondering what readers think about boxed sets--do you like this new up and coming venue, or would you rather just buy the books individually and not "risk" different authors you might not be familiar with? Please leave a comment along with your CONTACT INFO in case you win!

    1. So glad you enjoyed them, Doris! I was amazed when I started putting up the pictures of all the boxed sets we've done these past three years. LOTS of great stories here!

  2. Boxed sets, anthologies... I love those. They give us the opportunity to read books by different authors, see if we like their style or not. They also make us discover new authors. And, they're totally worth the price we pay for them as buying the individual books could end up being pretty expensive for some people.
You already know where to find me, Cheryl, if I do win... LOL

    1. Liette, I agree--it's a great way to find new authors (new to us) and as you say, see if we like their style or not--and if not, we haven't invested too much. We try to offer these boxed sets at a good price in hopes that our readers will try them and recommend to others, as well! Thanks for stopping by--you are always so supportive!

  7. I picked up two boxed sets yesterday with every intention of reading them but real life stepped in. Hopefully I can start them today or tomorrow. I see several more I need to get. Sigh, so many books, so little time.

      Hang in there, lady! :-)

  8. You know what I love most about boxed sets? Pick up one containing a story by one of your favorite authors, and you'll get to read stories from other authors whose work you may never have tried -- often for no more than you'd pay for a single book. Because I'm a cheapskate, I like that. :-D

    1. Kathleen, I agree! It really does help everyone out, because you may come across an author accidentally that you wouldn't have known about otherwise. YAY! (I'm a cheapskate, too. Ain't nothin' wrong with that!) LOL

  10. I adore the box sets. Never knew what they were until I joined PRP and they're a favorite of mine as well as the anthologies and novellas. Just finish A KISS TO REMEMBER and had read a few of them before but loved rereading those and especially the ones I hadn't. I've read most of the other sets, but do have grab one or two. And I do love all of them as it's such a variety and like everyone else says, you can't beat the price. I've even read all the Jo Harper books by Richard and those I've passed on to my granddaughters who willl love them. And I am so proud to be part of a boxed seat myself. Never thought to do that. Am passing the word on of these great reads and fantastic buys. Thank you PRP.

    1. Bev, I love the boxed sets, too. Such a deal, and even if you like some of the authors better than others, there's really no loss at all--if you read one book, you've still paid less than you would have to have bought just that one. Thanks for spreading the word! So glad to have you with us!

  11. Boxed sets and anthologies are like potato chips or cats - it's impossible to stop at one. :-) Even when I purchase a boxed set or an anthology just for a specific author, I read all the stories anyway, and then I'm often hooked on new-to-me authors. Win-Win.

    1. I'm like that too, Kaye. I read them all--when I ever DO get to read for pleasure--and feel good about getting to know different authors and their styles.
Thanks for stopping by today...loved your analogy about potato chips, cats, and boxed sets. LOL
