There’s a new publisher in town—or,
more correctly stated, a new imprint.
Prayers
& Promises Publications is a new division of Prairie Rose Publications.
Devoted to publishing inspirational fiction, Prayers & Promises is the
home of entertaining, uplifting stories about people overcoming adversity
through faith.
Between the covers of PPP books,
readers will come to know and really care about characters caught up in
compelling dilemmas of life, love, and the spirit. From historical romances to
tales of suspense and mainstream novels, Prayers & Promises Publications
will present fiction offering real-life hope through the power of belief.
PPP is looking for well-written stories of all lengths
that make readers come back for more. Novel-length stories will be
published in both print and digital formats; shorter works will be available in
digital format only. Occasionally, PPP will put together anthologies, which
represent an excellent opportunity for authors to introduce themselves to
readers who are unfamiliar with their work.
Prayers & Promises Publications’ submission requirements
are here.
Livia J. Washburn and Cheryl Pierson, who
founded Prairie Rose Publications in August 2013, are excited about the new
imprint. Working together with a stellar group of authors across a wide variety
of genres, Cheryl and Livia have accomplished remarkable things in one year. The
PRP family now includes five imprints: Prairie Rose (westerns and
western romance written by and for women), Tornado Alley Publications
(contemporary, sci-fi, and fantasy fiction for Middle Grade, Young
Adult, and New Adult readers**), Painted
Pony Books (western and historical stories of all lengths for Middle Grade,
Young Adult, and New Adult readers), and Fire
Star Press (contemporary, futuristic, paranormal, and fantasy works of all
lengths for the adult market). All of the imprints except Prairie Rose accept
submissions from both women and men.
PRP and all of
its imprints are delighted to work with both established and emerging authors.
In fact, all of the imprints have helped previously unpublished authors make
their dreams come true.
If you believe
you have a manuscript that fits any of the imprints in the Prairie Rose
Publications family, please contact Cheryl at prairierosepublications@yahoo.com. For novels, include a query letter, synopsis,
and the first three chapters of the manuscript. For shorter works, send a query
letter and the entire completed manuscript. Please type SUBMISSION and the name
of the imprint in the subject line.
The Prairie Rose family of imprints
looks forward to hearing from you!
** Middle Grade = readers 9-12 years of
age
Young Adult = readers ages 13-17
New Adult = readers ages 18-24
I am really looking forward to submissions to this new line, and hope to start receiving them soon!

This is such an exciting new imprint. I hope you receive submissions soon, too, Okie! I suspect a lot of good inspirational fiction in all genres is languishing for lack of publishing houses that will take it on. Of course, you, Livia, and Prairie Rose Publications are fearless, thank goodness! :-D
DeleteThis is so exciting, Cheryl. Actually, my first three stories were inspirational romantic/suspense. I might have to dust those puppies off if I can get done with the projects lining up. I'm sure there are many inspirational authors out there just looking for the right publisher and will find it at Prayers and Promises! It's so exciting watching this publishing house grow!
ReplyDeleteRustler, I don't know where you find time to write ANYTHING, considerin' you spend so much time sneakin' away with other folks' herds. ;-)
DeleteSeriously, though, dust off those inspies and send them to Cheryl. You already know what a great experience working with Cheryl and Livia is. :-)
BTW: I'm still gaga over the cover for your upcoming novel, HOME FIRES. Less than three weeks to go before that one hits the shelves! Nervous yet? ;-)
Writing is the best part of my day...that and gazing at my beautiful herd. ;)
DeleteSeriously, I might, Tex, but I have so many Westerns and that dang series that it might be a while. Maybe everyone will love HOME FIRES and the sequel so much I can drop these blasted day jobs and get the 24/7 of the job of my heart going.
P.S. I'd probably get a bit more done, too, if I stopped staring at that cover! :)
There's certainly an interest in these types of stories. A wonderful addition to the imprints!
ReplyDeleteThis is so exciting!
ReplyDeleteCyber Troll ate my comment.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a fabulous idea. I know we have inspirational authors here. This publishing company just gets better and better.
Good for you and all the best. As with all the other endeavors this one will be a winner also. Doris
ReplyDeleteWow! This is great. I'm sure you'll have lots of success with that as well as with the others.
ReplyDeleteStill translating and having fun rewriting my novel. Keeping fingers crossed so that everything will go well and I'll achieve something with it. :)
Thanks so much, everyone, for stopping by today and commenting. Livia and I are really excited about this imprint and getting it off the ground! Watch us grow! We are only one year old this month.

Is there a deadline and a word count for the "Prayers and Promises Publication?"
